1st Medical Brigade is a United States Army medical brigade stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, that provides mission command of Echelon Above Brigade medical units and delivers Army Health System support to conserve the strength and readiness of supported forces.

With a lineage dating back to its original constitution in 1917 as the 1st Sanitary Train, the brigade — known as the “Silver Knights” — has a long history of providing critical medical support in major conflicts and operations worldwide.

Today, 1st Medical Brigade continues to train and prepare medical units to provide comprehensive health care and medical services in both garrison and deployed environments, supporting Soldiers, their families, and mission requirements across the full range of military operations.
